Dog Days of Summer

It's back! A special day for our canine friends! Please join us for an end-of-summer celebration at Arlington Reservoir with your four-legged friend for some canine-only swimming on Sunday, August 23 from 12-2pm.

All dogs must be licensed, vaccinated and healthy. Bathrooms and Snack Bar will be open. Only dogs are allowed in the water. (The water will no longer be treated and therefore unsafe for general public bathing.) Donations Welcomed! Suggested $10 per dog to support Arlington's Off-Leash Recreation Areas.

General Admission Rules:

Only 2 dogs per handler may be off leash.
Dogs must be 4 months old to participate.
Dogs in heat not allowed off-leash.
Clean up after your dog!
Please keep your dog leashed entering or exiting the Reservoir Beach gate. Off-leash permitted inside the gates provided they are on strict voice control.
Aggressive dogs are not permitted off-leash. Dogs that show continued aggression towards people, other dogs or wildlife must be removed immediately.

Be Respectful fo Park Users and Neighbors:

Maintain sight and voice control of your dog. You must be able to see your dog at all times and maintain effective verbal control of your dog. You are responsible for any damage or injury your dog inflicts or receives.
Excessive dog barking is not allowed.
Dogs are not allowed in the playground area.
Dogs must not chase or disturb wildlife or enter conservation areas or sensitive open spaces, such as wetlands or planting beds.

*Reservoir gates will be locked before event and after the event for post-season maintenance. Gates will be open starting September 4.
