Club GEO-TREK: As part of our LAHF TREK series, Club GEO Trek introduces hiking and the fun sport of collecting geocaches! Geocaching is a type of global scavenger hunt where people look for caches, or hidden stashes of objects. Geocachers use a GPS app that offers coordinates, clues and puzzles to solve, in order to locate caches and/or place their own caches. In this workshop, we will review basic hiking and caching etiquette, (including leave no trace), learn how to use one of the geocache apps, and try to locate caches in Arlington.
The home base for this program is 352 Massachusetts Ave. Kids will get dropped-off and picked-up at 352 Massachusetts Ave. Kids will then take school buses to the locations provided below. Please make sure to pack a snack/lunch, comfortable walking clothes and plenty of water.
