This in town league is for 3rd graders and serves as preparation for travel basketball, which starts in 4th grade and plays in the MetroWest League. Teams will be formed evenly and players will be on the same team throughout the season. Each team will have their own practice once per week (at one of the elementary schools at 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM) and there will be a combined skills practice (optional) for the grade on Friday nights as well. There will be 4-6 teams and each team will play games on Sundays. Games will be exactly like travel basketball games are played: 32 minutes long, 4 quarters of 8 minutes each, stop time with referees. Games are played full court, 4-4 (girls) and 5-5 (boys) on 8.5 ft hoops.
