Bay State Skating School Learn to Skate Program - Bay State Learn to Skate: Wednesdays Session 3 Bay State Skating School Learn To Skate ProgramCelebrating Over Fifty Years of Teaching Skating to YouthBasic instruction and open skate for youth, without parents. Children will be taught how to stand up on skates, marching, dips, and forward skate. Participants are required to provide their own single blade skates (rentals available). Helmets are required for this program! It’s time to sharpen your blades for the coming winter season! Join Bay State Skate for skating fun. All teachers are professional ice skating instructors, offering excellent classes for students ages 4 and up. The program is structured in 25-minute lessons and 25-minute practice time each week. A co-instructor is in attendance at all times. Skaters must have sharpened figure, hockey, or recreation skates. NO Double Runners. Magnolia Community Garden - Magnolia Community Garden Waitlist 2023: All returning 2022 garden plot holders will be contacted in February regarding the renewal of their plots for the 2023 season. Any plot that remain open will be offered to those on the wait list, in order, beginning in late February. If you are currently on the wait list and a plot becomes available to you, we will contact you directly. The Magnolia Community Garden Program is open to Arlington Residents only (must maintain resident status each year). Option 2: Rental from Coach Michael $50.00 plus a $100.00 deposit for an 8-week session. At the end of the last class, the deposit will be issued upon returning the fencing gear to Coach Michael. He will set up appointments for you and your fencer in 15-minute slots for those who need rental fencing gear. Fencers will be fitted for equipment. Fencers will take the equipment home with them.

Fencing - Fencing: Wednesday's Fall 2 (Beginner/Advanced Ages 12+) FENCINGCome learn the exciting sport of fencing! Often called a physical game of chess, fencing develops endurance, coordination, agility, poise and balance. While fencing is a physical sport, it is also a mental game requiring concentration, quick decision-making and problem-solving. It’s an ideal activity for people of all ages and sizes.About the Instructor: Michael Tarascio was a member of the United States World Championship Team in Men's Foil. Michael is a Level 4 Foil coach certified through the United States Fencing Association. Also, certified through the Positive Coaching Alliance and the American Sports Education Program. He teaches Recreational Classes for Youth, Teens, and Adults. Michael also teaches Advanced Level Technique and Tactics Classes and provides Individual Coaching for the Serious Competitive Fencer.
